How to wash pesticide residue off of fruits and vegetables

I always try to bring awareness to the dangers of pesticides. Glyphosate in particular can disrupt hormones and alter the human microbiome through effecting various pathways, such as the shikimate metabolic pathway. This pathway is present in the trillions of microorganisms that colonize your body and make up your human microbiome, so disrupting it causes some severe consequences over years of exposure. This increases risk of disease by altering immune function, production of neurotransmitters, genetic regulation and more. ⁣ So what can you do if you're unable to always purchase organic produce?⁣ I use a scientifically proven way to rid conventional produce of up to 95% of surface pesticide residue. I know it's tough to always buy organic, so this is an inexpensive, great solution!⁣ 1. Use 1 teaspoon of baking soda for every 2 cups of water⁣ 2. Soak produce for 12-15 minutes⁣ Try this recipe to reduce your pesticide exposure.
